A tap that won't stop dripping
Usually a worn cartridge, washer or O-ring. A plumber can tell which from the tap style and walk you through the swap.
Plumbing on Hollr
Point your phone at the leak, the drip or the drain that won't clear. A licensed Canadian plumber tells you what it is, what to try, and whether it needs a visit.
$34 for 15 minutes · $59 for 30 · you only pay when a plumber connects
Usually a worn cartridge, washer or O-ring. A plumber can tell which from the tap style and walk you through the swap.
Slip nuts, a cracked trap or a supply line. Show the joint and they'll tell you what to tighten and what to replace.
Most of the time it's the flapper, the fill valve or the chain. They'll spot it in a minute on camera.
Sink, tub or floor drain. Learn whether a plunger or snake will do it, or whether it's deeper in the line.
One fixture or the whole house? An aerator, a shut-off that isn't fully open, or the pressure regulator.
Check the float, the outlet and the check valve together before water reaches the basement floor.
Your plumber tells you when it's one of these, and why.
A typical plumber service call, before any repair work. Range from the HomeStars plumbing cost guide. A Hollr call tells you whether you need that visit at all.
Plumbing is a regulated trade in most of Canada. Before a plumber takes a Hollr call, we check their certificate with the body that issues it in their province. How Hollr checks licences.

|---|---|---|
| Ontario | Skilled Trades Ontario | Certificate of Qualification, Plumber (306A). Compulsory trade. |
| Alberta | Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training | Journeyperson certificate. Compulsory trade. |
| British Columbia | SkilledTradesBC | Certificate of Qualification and Red Seal. |
| Quebec | Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) | Pipe-mechanic competency certificate. |
| Across Canada | Red Seal | Interprovincial endorsement for qualified plumbers. |
Often, yes. Most household leaks are a loose fitting, a worn washer or a failed supply line, and a plumber can see which on camera and talk you through the fix. If it needs tools you don't have or work inside a wall, they'll tell you on the call.
Close the shut-off valve under the fixture, or the main water shut-off where the line enters the house, usually in the basement near the front wall. Then open Hollr and show a plumber.
Hollr calls are advice on video. If the job needs hands on site, your plumber tells you why, and your notes, photos and parts list stay with you for whoever you hire.
$34 CAD for 15 minutes or $59 CAD for 30 minutes. You see the price before the call starts and only pay when a plumber connects.
